Injectable phosphorus and vitamin B12 solution to supplement animals.

Composition
Each 1 mL of the injectable solution contains:
1-(n-Butylamino)-1-methylethyl phosphonous acid (Butaphosphan) 100 mg
Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 50
Methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate as preservative 1 mg
The solution contains 17.3 mg of phosphorus in 1 mL.

Dosage & Administration:

Dispose of broached vials within 28 days of opening.

Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection via sterile technique.

To be used by or under the supervision of a veterinary surgeon.

Volumes of more than 20mL should be split and given at several intramuscular sites or given subcutaneously.

Olsson’s Trace Element Plus 3% Urea is a macro-mineral supplement block formulated with copper, iron, zinc, manganese, cobalt, iodine, and selenium. It provides a source of these minerals in block form, combined with 3% urea, to complement grazing and feeding systems where pastures and soils may not provide sufficient mineral levels.

Olsson’s Calcium Molasses is a nutritional supplement formulated for cattle, sheep, goats, and deer on grain-based diets. This block provides a source of calcium and protein and is intended for use in feeding programs where grain diets may be low in protein, minerals, and vitamins. Grain feeding is often associated with a lower calcium-to-phosphorus ratio; providing a calcium source can be part of nutritional management strategies for such diets. Bloat in ruminants is the distention of the rumen-reticulum, or paunch, with gas. This gas has been formed during rapid fermentation of the feed in the rumen. The distention is usually seen on the left side as a tight ballooning of the underlying rumen from the ribs to the hip. The usual mechanism of “belching” and letting gas out through the animal’s mouth has failed and so the gas accumulates. Distention can occur from pasture bloat and feedlot bloat. Olsson’s Bentobite is a nutritional supplement containing bentonite and protein meal, formulated for inclusion in livestock feeding programs. It can be offered as part of rations during seasonal dietary changes, such as the green-pick period.

Grass Tetany is a condition that can effect stock in late autumn, winter and spring. It can cause significant losses in production, even when there are no signs of illness. Grass tetany (also called grass staggers) occurs when animals are grazing pasture which has low available levels of magnesium, or as a result of increased body demands for magnesium during lactation or late pregnancy. Prevention is preferable to treatment as grass tetany often occurs without warning. Prevention involves supplementing the animals with magnesium during the period of greatest risk. Olsson’s Beefmaster is the supplement to eliminate the deficiency with 111g/kg of available magnesium.
